The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
